This website documents a significant part of my work since the mid-nineties in different countries and contexts. Whether as a theatre maker, opera director, cultural consultant, filmmaker or librettist: the motives were and remain those of the writer: observing and narrating.
The website makes connections between seemingly unrelated topics and spaces. It deals, for example, with student life in the Soviet Union in the eighties or the social experiment on a utopian island, the political crash of a German election candidate or the capital frenzy of Dubai; from overtone singing in the Mongolian desert Gobi or from a ghostly time-out in the reality of North Korea.
The website presents the works in three tenses. It is Past (Archive), Present and Future (Magazine).
